ABOUT Sedona

Sedona is a renowned travel destination in Arizona, roughly halfway between Phoenix and the Grand Canyon. Sedona is split into two sections: West Sedona and Uptown Sedona.

West Sedona

  • Highway 89A travels east-west through West Sedona, linking the towns of Sedona and Flagstaff.
  • This region has a variety of hotels and restaurants, as well as convenient access to some of Sedona’s best hikes and other attractions.

Uptown Sedona

  • Located north of the “Y” intersection of Highway 89A and Highway 179
  • Some of Sedona’s best restaurants, as well as a range of shopping, can be found here.

Two additional notable places are situated just outside of Sedona, and you will pass through them on your Arizona road trip.

  • The Village of Oak Creek is located in the town of Oak Creek, which is located south of Sedona. This little town is home to some of Sedona’s most highly recognized restaurants. Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock are two natural landforms near the Village of Oak Creek.

  • Oak Creek Canyon is situated just north of Sedona. Highway 89A twists and turns through this woodland canyon, providing a distinct experience in both looks and feel than Sedona.
